Student Ministry Volunteer Opportunities
Here are the areas in this ministry that we need help with! We will begin serving food at The Warehouse and will need a group of parents to volunteer to provide the food each week. We also have the issue of security. With more and more students showing up each week, there needs to be some sort of security for the student’s safety as well as the volunteer’s safety. Lastly, we have several “Ministry Teams” that need to be supervised by adult sponsors.
Ministry Teams
Prayer Team The prayer team is headed up by Carla and Steve Hardwick and meets early on Wednesday nights before The Warehouse to pray for the students who will be coming as well as praying throughout the week for any specific needs.
Media Team The media team is in charge of running sound, projectors, and anything else “technical” such as videos, pictures, etc.
Greeting Team A member of the greeting should be one of the first people the students see as they enter The Warehouse. As well as greeting students (old and new) the greeters will be expected to follow up with our 1st time guests at some point during the following week. Greeters will also be “hanging out” and talking with students on Sunday mornings.
Setup Team This team consists of behind the scenes work, getting tables and chairs setup before The Warehouse and putting everything back afterwards. If there is a certain “series theme” that we will be going through, this team may be asked to help decorate as needed.
Security The security team is there for the protection of not only the students by the volunteers as well. If there is a student acting up, it is this team’s responsibility to escort the student out. Everyone needs a little muscle sometime!
Food
Parents and Volunteers This group of parents and volunteers will have the responsibility of feeding students every Wednesday night.
